Desynchronization Transitions in Adaptive Networks

چکیده
Adaptive networks change their connectivity with time, depending on dynamical state. While synchronization in structurally static has been studied extensively, this problem is much more challenging for adaptive networks. In Letter, we develop the master stability approach a large class of This allows reducing to low-dimensional system, by decoupling topological and properties. We show how interplay between adaptivity network structure gives rise formation islands. Desynchronization transitions in nonlinearly coupled phase oscillators
We consider the nonlinear extension of the Kuramoto model of globally coupled phase oscillators where the phase shift in the coupling function depends on the order parameter. A bifurcation analysis of the transition from fully synchronous state to partial synchrony is performed. We demonstrate that for small ensembles it is typically mediated by stable cluster states, that disappear with creati...
متن کاملDesynchronization in diluted neural networks.
The dynamical behavior of a weakly diluted fully inhibitory network of pulse-coupled spiking neurons is investigated. Upon increasing the coupling strength, a transition from regular to stochasticlike regime is observed. In the weak-coupling phase, a periodic dynamics is rapidly approached, with all neurons firing with the same rate and mutually phase locked. The strong-coupling phase is charac...
متن کاملDesynchronization Transitions in Rings of Coupled Chaotic Oscillators
Rings of chaotic oscillators coupled unidirectionally through driving are studied. While synchronization is observed for small sizes of the ring, beyond a certain critical size a desynchronizing transition occurs. In the two examples studied here the system exhibits a transition to periodic rotating waves for rings of Lorenz systems, while one finds a sort of chaotic rotating waves when Chua’s ...
